SAN MATEO, Calif. -- Aggregate Knowledge, the leading data management platform (DMP) on which the world's largest advertisers make their digital data and media decisions, announced today that it has landed James Simon, formerly of IDG TechNetwork, to extend and tailor the patent-pending AK Platform for DSPs, SSPs, ad networks, and large publishers. The AK Platform is the first pure-play DMP that combines data management with multi-touch attribution, which together automate 'trading desk' like features for customers to make media accountable.
As SVP, business development, at Aggregate Knowledge, Simon will focus on building and integrating the AK Platform for DSPs, SSPs, ad networks, and large publishers. Currently, AK has been providing its platform for some of the largest agencies and advertisers in the world.
"I am excited to be a part of AK, as it is the only DMP company I know that has no conflicts of interest, is data agnostic, doesn't buy or sell data or media, and combines its data management with a serious multi-touch attribution modeling," said Simon. "I love how the AK scorecard allows ad networks, DSPs, SSPs, and publishers to buy and sell data and media more intelligently and offer their customers responsible audience targeting, greater ROI, and media accountability."
"With Jim's experience and creativity in high-stakes deals, launching and building companies, and successful business development efforts for leading companies in our space, he adds that missing link that connects the AK Platform with the DSPs, the ad networks, and the large publishers," said Perry Nusbaum, SVP of national sales, Aggregate Knowledge. "I am looking forward to his further success as he propels AK forward into these markets."
Previous to AK, Simon was SVP, business development, at IDG TechNetwork, where he launched and managed the IDG trading desk and was responsible for striking large global inventory deals with leading publishers, ad networks, DSPs and exchanges. Prior to IDG TechNetwork, Simon held CEO and senior management positions at several Internet companies, where he led business development, secured large data deals, restructured media buying, built brands, and raised capital.
